Pieter De Poortere

Pieter De Poortere is best known for his pantomime comic Dickie (Boerke), which grew into an international success story. The Dickie animated series (2021, second season 2023) can be seen on Canvas, VRT MAX and Adult Swim France, among others. In this series of short 2-minute-long animated films, we follow the witty exploits of this sad but lovable anti-hero, who shares our own shortcomings and weaknesses.  Dickie cleverly combines dark humour with historical and cultural references.
